That said and done, you need to know what to bring on the day hike depending on a number of factors:

What to Bring Day Hiking

Generally,These items should be on your hiking checklist:
• Hiking backpack/gear
• Weather-appropriate clothing (think moisture-wicking and layers)
• Hiking boots or shoes
• Plenty of food
• Plenty of water
• Navigation tools such as a map and compass
• First-aid kit
• Knife or multi-tool
• Trekking poles
• Hand sanitizer
• Menstrual products(ladies)
• Sunglasses/sun hat
• Toilet papers
